About this artwork
This piece has a dreamlike quality and my hope is that it brings the viewer a sense of peace and hopefulness. The title Fate Smiled is in keeping with my intention that the painting elicits a joyful feeling. Several layers of acrylic paint went into the finished piece. The final coat is a clear glaze which is not too shiny but gives the piece a finished look. The edges are painted one of the shades of green that can be found in the painting.
