About this artwork

Using a pallet knife, think strokes, and neutral color tones, Alana has created an abstract desert scene at dusk. She left a thin sliver of red on the horizon line, contrasting against a black night sky, to portray a sense of a sunset scene, with flickers of gold leaf strategically placed throughout the painting to represent to last rays of the sparkling sun.
