About this artwork

The artwork explores layered forms of desire and lure. The bird, taken from a wine label, suggests temptation, just as wine can tempt the man, and the bird can tempt the cats. At the same time, the man tempts the bird to trust him. These overlapping tensions give meaning to the artwork's title.
