About this artwork
Everyone said the old dragon was grouchy, grumpy, and mean. Some even said he was dangerous and should be left alone. A monster! others cried, warning their children to stay away. Marigold didn't believe any of it. She knew that sometimes we all need someone to reach out to, to be kind, and to be a friend. So that's what she did, remembering to bring him some of her favorite flowers to cheer him up. That was the day she met her best friend.
