About this artwork

Tall trees stand in the foreground, their trunks and branches cutting across the view of a suburban house behind them. Artist Robert Hofherr reinterprets this unlikely subject through an expressionist lens, giving the landscape new vitality with bold color choices and a stylized structure. While the palette remains largely realistic, Robert chooses each color to serve the needs of the composition.
