About this artwork

A ranch road winds through the hills, with a few outbuildings nestled in the landscape. Blurred details achieved through a dry-brush technique and pastel marks give the scene an air of mystery. It prompts the viewer to question whether it represents a vaguely remembered place or one that remains after waking from a dream, and what might be at the end of the road.
