Once or twice a season on Plum Island the ocean, air and earth conspire to create the perfect conditions when a thick mist rolls slowly in off the water cloaking the world in a dense white blanket. For a short time everything seems still and quiet. Everyday objects appear mysterious and magical in their shrouds of white. Then as silently as it comes, it disappears......
