About this artwork

A modernist composition in many layers and bands of red, deep blue, black and cream. Gary intuitively applied the paint with bits of tape and other found material to build up the surface texture and create small points of interest across the piece. Part of an ongoing series drawing inspiration from the walls and floors of manufacturing plants where Gary worked.
