About this artwork

Artist Janet Dyer creates many variations of this same landscape scene, utilizing different color palettes and varying the number of details in each. In this iteration, Janet defines the tree trunks while blurring various greens and orange for the foliage and leaves. Thinly lining the water's edge, reflections appear on the water, creating a mirror image on the bottom half of the composition. "The farther away I get from the original, the freer the interpretation," says Janet.
