About this artwork

A small acrylic painting of a side show at a carnival in Rochester, Minnesota. Carnival Freak Shows are pure Americana. Most of the attractions are hilariously tacky fakes or actors portraying ‘freaks’. Sensationalism and implied promises of sexual displays are often the real attractions. The costume of the “Headless Girl” was particularly revealing.
