About this artwork

Artist Kip Decker paints a delightful country scene, busy with activity. The painting depicts two magpies talking or squawking about something on the farm, says Kip. The birds face each other on the fence, absorbed in their conversation as other animals go about their day. Chickens strut across the gate, horses graze on the verdant pasture, and a small flock of blackbirds circle in the sky observing the ranch. A merry atmosphere permeates throughout the farmstead. Part of Kip's ongoing Country Joy series.
