About this artwork

This rendering of a bridge over a small river is an example of my more realistic style, which follows the influences of the Impressionists more than the Fauves, for instance. Although the color palette is vivid, the family of tones is representative of autumn, and the overall effect is suggestive of a warm day in Indian Summer. This makes for a work that hearkens back to summer rather than forward to the cold of winter. The sides are painted brown, and it arrives wired and ready to hang.
