About this artwork

One of my favorite fountains in downtown San Jose, Costa Rica, is located between the Gran Hotel and the Teatro Nacional on Aveneda Central. I loved the patterns that the water made on the blue surfaces as it splashed and cascaded down the tiers of the fountain. This fountain is popular with many birds. I often saw common pigeons as well as Great Kiskadee's, Clay-colored thrush, Blue-gray Tanagers, Great-tailed Grackles and Inca Doves.
