Beja was an entertainer at one of the most colorful and notorious bars in Milwaukee, states artist Leroy Burt. CÕest La Vie catered to hustlers, drag queens, artists, and other members of the demi-monde. When they had shows the bar was often filled with hip, upper-class young people from the wealthy suburbs.
