About this artwork

I paint scenes mainly from my imagination for my quiet, country landscapes. I live and paint on an old farmstead in the Midwest. My contemporary folk art landscapes are painted simply from the heart. In my work I strive to capture the feeling of quiet peace and serenity, that I find in the country. This original painting received an honorable mention at the Freeport Art Museum’s, Regional Juried Exhibition IX. The sides of the canvas are painted dark green, and this piece comes wired and ready to hang.
