Vic Roschkov
London , Canada
Artist Vic Roschkov creates watercolor landscapes inspired by the countryside of London, Ontario, Canada. He explores the area by driving through rural landscapes, capturing scenes through photos and sketches that spark his creativity. “I constantly strive to capture the subtle beauty, charm, and atmospheric moods in my art,” says Vic. Raised in an artistic family, he developed a love for drawing at a young age, influenced by his father, a well-known Canadian political cartoonist. Before transitioning to fine art, he spent thirteen years working as a graphic artist and illustrator. Vic paints in a compact yet well-organized studio, where large sliding glass doors fill the space with natural light. When not painting, he enjoys fishing and cheering for his favorite NHL team.

Artist Statement
From an early age, I was surrounded by art. Growing up in a creative family, with a father who was a well-known Canadian political cartoonist, nurtured my passion for drawing and painting. After a successful 13-year career as a graphic artist and illustrator, I followed my true calling: fine art, with a particular devotion to landscape watercolour painting.
My work is deeply rooted in the countryside near London, Ontario, where I find endless inspiration in its rolling fields, weathered structures, and ever-changing skies. Watercolour allows me to translate these experiences into art that captures both the quiet beauty of the land and the emotions it evokes. I strive to create atmospheric scenes that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with a sense of place.
I work exclusively with high-quality materials, such as Arches or Winsor & Newton papers and paints, ensuring lasting vibrancy and depth. For me, the greatest reward comes when collectors share that my paintings stir personal memories or emotions—reminders that art’s true power lies in connection.
Looking ahead, my vision is to share my work with the widest audience possible while continually refining my technique. For me, art is not a destination—it’s a lifelong journey of exploration and expression.
