Nathalie Gribinski
Chicago, Illinois
Artist Nathalie Gribinski creates vibrant abstract paintings that celebrate color, music, and the rhythm of life. Her art journey was unconventional. After studying law in Paris, Nathalie moved to Chicago to embrace her true calling. Changing careers and adapting to a new country shaped her resilience. Beyond winning international illustration contests, one of her most meaningful milestones as an artist came when Christine Ruiz Picasso purchased her work. "Like Picasso, I strive for freedom, movement, and authenticity," says Nathalie. She listens to jazz and classical tunes when painting in her spacious home studio. When not making art, Nathalie engages in design projects, spends time with her family and friends, and visits galleries.

Artist Statement
I create vibrant abstract paintings that explore rhythm, energy, and connection. Working primarily with acrylics and oil markers on canvas, I layer dots, lines, and flowing shapes to create compositions that echo the cadence of music and improvisation. Music, nature, and human emotion are my deepest inspirations. I approach each canvas as a visual symphony, inviting viewers to feel movement and joy.
My influences include abstract expressionism, surrealism, and Aboriginal dot painting traditions, blending spontaneity with structure. I began my artistic journey after shifting from law to art, a transformation that taught me to embrace freedom and creativity as my true voice.
I intend to create art that resonates personally yet speaks universally—offering color and rhythm as a space for reflection and delight. In the future, I see my work expanding to larger installations, fostering dialogue and connection across cultures.
