Lynn Goldstein | Artist Profile Photo
Lynn Goldstein
Fairfax Station, Virginia
Artist Lynn Goldstein's atmospheric landscapes blend abstraction with natural forms. Her passion for art began early, but her journey was not without challenges. She faced discouragement from college teachers, a childhood illness, and the death of her father before she finally shared her talent. "I realized that I would regret it if I didn’t follow my passion," says Lynn. Her mother, an artist herself, was her first teacher and introduced her to the Asian aesthetic through flower arranging, sparking a love for minimalism that continues to influence her work. Lynn listens to K-pop, R&B, and classical music while painting in her studio, located in a repurposed prison. Outside her creative practice, she enjoys reading, walking in the woods with friends, and traveling. Her work has been displayed at institutions such as the Smithsonian, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City.
