I have always been fascinated by the perspective of being outside and looking in. Into a window, a street scene, an intimate still life setting, or human personage. I use color and heavy brush strokes to convey mood and energy. Inspired by post-impressionism, expressionism and fauvism. I am trying add vibrancy to what can sometimes be a plain world. It is vibrancy tinged with nostalgia. Maybe it's true that my scenes are more colorful than reality, but they are the reality I see and the way I feel.
As an artist I think there is a role for me. And this role is to show and remind humans that they all are unique part of the universe. I feel the motion of the world and I express the life full of dynamic energy, joy and beauty. There is a beauty in everything around, and if we all notice them then the world will become a better place to live.
