Whether I am painting a piece that takes days or weeks of work to complete, or attempting to capture a moment of pure amusement that catches my attention alla prima, I try to infuse each piece with the visual magic of the moment. Each play of light, texture, and movement of a figure can have a captivating effect on me. My aim is to convey as much of that drama as possible to my viewers. To me, the moment is always bound up in the sense of light.
