Marilyn Froggatt is a landscape painter, she creates original work from natural outdoor locations. She uses oil paints, brushes, palette knives, canvas, and panels to create her paintings. She takes advantage of the light and originality of her locations throughout the Western United States. She uses the deserts, mountains, rivers, fields, and ocean scenes as inspiration for her art. She sets up at dawn and paints with early morning light. Starting with a brief graphite sketch on paper, she goes to work quickly on her canvas panels, as the light is constantly changing. She then selects the sketches she likes and re-creates them into larger works inside her studio in Palm Desert, CA.
