Welcome! The focus of my photography is on seeing. I try to see clearly and make images based on fresh perceptions. I hope my photographs give a glimpse of a different aspect of reality beyond the veil that usually permeates our lives, revealing the extraordinariness in ordinariness.
My work has been greatly influenced by "The Practice of Contemplative Photography" by Andy Karr, Michael Wood, and the whole contemplative photography movement. The great photographic masters of "seeing" like Henri Cartier-Bresson always provide a continual source of inspiration. I am also captivated by the more recent works of Vivian Maier and Saul Leiter who wonderfully said, "Seeing is a neglected enterprise."
Meditation is a large part of my life and I enjoy creating art that gives people’s minds space to rest.
