Yugoslavian-born artist Igor Dukic produces abstract geometric compositions with sleek line-work and solid colors. After many years of working as a graphic designer, he felt the need to express himself through painting and illustration. “Making art is a spiritual practice, I create from a place of no mind, from inner stillness,” says Igor. His process includes digital sketching in full color, then using a projector to recreate it on canvas. Igor holds a BFA in communication design. Art has always been a part of his life as his mother is a fine artist as well. In most of his paintings, they often collaborate. His way of life encompasses meditating, chanting, and mindfulness. Today, he works from his home studio in Minneapolis.

About The Artist
For me, making art is a spiritual practice. I create from a place of no mind--from inner stillness.
I do all my sketches in full-color on the computer. Then, I use a projector and acrylic paint to recreate my sketches on the canvas.
