Entrancing abstractions map artist Elena Andronescu’s work with lively sensitivity and sentimentality. “I would like my art to touch the soul, to arouse curiosity, to ask questions related to essential things,” says Elena. Painting has been and will always be her first love, starting when she was only four. Elena dreamed of enrolling at the prestigious Academy of Arts but studied earth physics to support herself. Defying all odds, she held on to her dream and later pursued an art education as a single mother. Elena appointed the largest room in her house to convert into her studio, where music listens to meditative music, inducing inner peace. When she’s not painting, doing the housework helps her take her mind off things. Elena and her husband also own a painting materials business sourced from European producers.

About The Artist
Artist Statement
I started painting at the age of 5, painting being my first great love. When I paint, I take refuge in my world and reach the highest levels of happiness.
I find inspiration in the beauty of Creation that surrounds me: in a flower, in a sunset, in the mountains, in the forests, and in the wonderful landscape that surrounds us.
Being a professional artist, I alternate between acrylic and oil on canvas. My debut as an artist was influenced by Van Gogh who actually fascinated me when I saw his paintings for the first time at the Hermitage Museum. My artistic maturity was influenced by the art of Gerhart Richter and Jackson Pollack.
I hope that in the future I will be able to refine my art and through the paintings sold bring beauty and joy to as many art admirers as possible.
