Artist Autumn Rose paints expressionist botanical arrangements, finding endless inspiration in the colors of her daily life. "I am constantly driven to paint in a free-spirited style with lots of movement, big strokes, and vitality," says Autumn. She employs various media and tools to generate texture and depth in her work. Guided by intuition rather than plan, Autumn creates floral and herbage explorations with a notable focus on still life. Pastel pinks and greens are typical colors across her body of work, applied onto darker backgrounds, resulting in dramatic effects. Autumn creates intriguing layers and definitive linework, offering a delightful variety of visual cues. She affectionately calls her workspace in Phoenix a "shudio," since it is a conversion from a shed in her backyard. The area receives incredible light and breathtaking views of her desert garden whenever she paints. "It's always my hope that when someone sees my art, they will feel a sense of wonder and joy."

My work is an exploration of the untamed. From the overgrown gardens of my Georgia childhood to the resilient flora of my home in the Arizona desert, I have always been captivated by the wild poetry of the natural world. While I began my career in the structured world of graphic design, I found I could not resist the pull of traditional media.
I traded the digital screen for the tactile freedom of layering paint and pen, allowing me to merge vibrant color with the expressive energy of ink and line. This combination lets me capture the whimsy of plants, people, and animals through a lens that is both bold and intimate, translating the quiet beauty of life into spirited compositions.
Ultimately, I create to transform simple materials into moments of intrigue. I want my work to spark an immediate connection, evoking emotion and bringing a bold, joyful light to everyone who views it.
