I am a full time artist and have been painting for over 40 years. I am originally from Nepal and am now living in the San Francisco Bay area region. I paint in my art studio in my home in Pinole, California. I am a traditional painter in a sense that I take my subjects from life and memory. I find it uncomfortable when I have to define my paintings as abstract, realistic, figurative, landscape or one of the accepted terms in the art world. Also I don't feel a need to be limited to one so called 'style' and 'look' in a visual sense as most art galleries want you to focus on. I am a complex person in a sense that I am a product of many cultures and places. To me concept is more important than look or style. I want to be able to use any medium or style as long as it helps me convey or achieve what I am looking for.
