Yamilet Sempe is a French-American artist who works in a boldly graphic abstract style visibly influenced by modernist aesthetics. She describes her color palette as being a reflection of her positive energy. Yamilet loves being in nature, finding inspiration in the sea near her Florida home. About The Artist
"Geometric Abstract is a style that comes to as a vision of my surroundings. The acrylic mixture of paints that I use, echo the vivid colors of nature and the brightness of the sun of the natural subtropical weather, which provides me with the inspiration to build my pallet and launch my imagination. My work is highly influence by the renowned abstract painter Hilma Af Klint where I found some sense of sharp feminine strength and liberation. On each of my pieces I capture a glimpse of my day and hold it still for eternity, this way I express myself, not with words, but with ideas."
