Art has always been a way of expression for me, as a child I drew and doodled constantly. I am drawn to the enigma of the face and it's ever evolving stories as is the beauty and mystery inherent in the figure. These elements permeate my work as I seek to contemplatively engage the viewer. Though I do not set out to convey a "message" all art intrinsically say something. I am compelled to use cultural references in my work, at a deeper level these are a metaphor for our common humanity as culture is foundational to building identity.
