Inspiration for my paintings springs from the world I see around me. Landscapes, large and small, engage me. Marshes, beaches, tidal flats, city streets, summer gardens, mountain vistas, seashells, stones, spider webs, all with their seemingly random designs, reflect the constant that informs my work.
I paint the feelings and moods a landscape evokes in me.
My medium is primarily acrylics and sometimes found objects that provide texture and complexity. I love the acrylic medium because I can touch it. I believe touch is an important and underused way we can experience art.
