Oksana Johnson is an Impressionist in the San Francisco Bay Area. While growing up in Russia, she developed a deep appreciation and love for art, gaining exposure to the greatest artworks of Russian and Western masters in the country’s best art museums. Her strongest influences come from French Impressionism and post-Impressionism, as well as Russian Impressionism. She has studied with a number of master artists in the U.S. and Russia.
"I am constantly striving to express more accurately the happiness and joy I feel while trying to capture the beauty of the world and its special moments," says Oksana.
Oksana paints primarily in oils, but also enjoys working in other media such as charcoal, watercolor, and pastels. "I am continuing to improve my technical skills. I particularly enjoy experimenting with color and texture, since I feel those two important elements of painting best allow me to express how I feel about my subjects."
Oksana's works are in private collections in the United States and Europe.
