I live and work in the historic Haight Ashbury neighborhood in San Francisco, California where I operate a multidisciplinary art and design studio, art factory, detritus rescue, benevolent society and good ideas association.
I paint mainly in acrylic on birch panels and cut out shapes of birch plywood In a multi layered transparent technique. The texture and grain of the wood that shows through the transparent layers of paint, makes its own statement in a way, as the fingerprint of its natural origins that persist beyond the transformation from tree to painted surface.
My other work on paper, in general, is about love for pattern, nature, nostalgia, the exotic, and the moments in life where history, nature and observation meet curiosity, color, and imagination.
