When I picked up a camera several years ago, it opened my eyes in a way that made me slow down to see my daily surroundings in a new light. I think we can cultivate new approaches to our usual ways of thinking when we stay open to viewing our surroundings from different angles, in various lights, and perhaps in others' shoes now and then.
Second to my family, I find my contentment in the outdoors. My husband and I, along with our two little girls are currently in Northern California's Bay Area where we've loved getting to know the landscape and how to take care of it. The Redwoods, the Pacific, Yosemite and surrounding regions make up a breathtaking outdoor playground.
My photography focuses primarily on our natural surroundings because I am passionate about the care and preservation of our natural world.
