I view myself as a Contemporary Impressionist oil painter, influenced by the great Impressionist painters, such as Sorolla, William Wendt, Edgar Payne.
My artistic method is feeling-based; it seeks to capture the mood that resides within a single, fleeting moment in time. Whether I am painting a landscape, still life, or portrait, I weave the subject into the work through color and light. I am a light chaser–I prefer subjects that show a strong contrast between light and dark.
