About this artwork
Artist Judy Mudd captures a unique perspective on one of her signature rural landscapes, representing a grand old barn from the rear of the property. She uses the angle to play up the warm glow of light behind the structure and the rich shadows spreading out toward the viewer. I wanted to give a picture of an often forgotten, but no less important, aspect of farm life, says Judy.
