Sheba is an American Bulldog who spent a good deal of time at a shelter. I fell in love with her ginormous grin, and knew I wanted to paint her. I aimed to capture her sweet and happy disposition by accurately depicting her expression and using bright, happy colors.

This painting has been coated with three coats of Golden UV Archival Matte varnish to protect against fading. The piece is on paper with deckled edges and has a 3/8" white border around the image. It will require a frame for display.

Jessica fell in love with watercolor after she was introduced to the medium by a talented aunt. Her animal portraits, executed in a refined realism with bright details, exude sheer joy. Jessica captures the personality and essence of each subject with a unique vibrancy. “My art is full of light,” Jessica says. She often paints from photographs that her followers send to her, a rather special way to connect with viewers. Jessica works from her home, where she is surrounded by her art and her family.
