I love creating figurative paintings in watercolor! I like to work as quickly as possible adding color upon color while still wet and forming spontaneous combinations within the flesh tones themselves, which brings life and vitality to normal skin tones. Watercolor is the perfect medium for this due to its inherent brilliance. This painting was done from a lovely model who posed for me in my studio. The piece is on heavyweight paper and will need a frame for display.
Patrick Soper paints works that explore line, texture and the female body. In his paintings, he explores the texture of paint and different color combinations. Many of his pieces mix flesh tones with other colors to add interest. When he's not making art, he enjoys traveling, fishing, reading, and going to outdoor music festivals.
