For this piece I used balmy summer colors and emphasized the pelican's patient gaze into the water below. This painting was completed on watercolor paper. After drying, the surface was coated with three coats of varnish, then securely mounted to a solid wood panel. After sanding the edges smooth, I applied a wax medium to the surface and natural wood sides. The artwork comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Jessica
