About this artwork

A group of inviting Mediterranean style homes in Palm Springs nestled against a backdrop of rocky desert hills, and watched over by a sentinel palm tree. This was an irresistible subject, says artist Catherine McCargar. I love the way watercolor moves on the paper, allowing for soft dreamy edges. This painting, as with so many of my other paintings, expresses a vision of a charming place at a perfect moment in time.
