Nothing Falls Like London Rain
About this artwork
When Heather Nova sings 'Nothing falls like London rain,' I can almost hear the pitter-patter against my window pane, says artist Swarup Kumar Dandapat. This painting is his way of paying tribute to the London weather, which many may complain about, but not Swarup. I love the eccentricity of London weather - it is as unpredictable as an artist. My paintings are often a conversation with self, so the privacy that London rain offers suits me fine. You are alone even amongst the crowd.
