Artist Evgenia Smirnova illustratates surrealistic watercolor scenes. "Books, stories, and fairy tales inspire me," says Evgenia. She shares her extraordinary visions of fantasy, filled with love and hope. Her process always begins with sensations, feeling her way into expressing her frame of mind. Evgenia studied economics at Saint Petersburg but then moved to Sicily to study under the mentorship of a private art teacher. “At that moment I understood that I can’t live without art,” says Evgenia. Today, she works out of her home studio in Catania, Sicily. And when she's not working, she spends her time with her two children and teaches art to elementary-age students.
