Small beings sitting on gray square bases. They are looking to the horizon for something that marks their existence, others are helping someone more. The image is intended to show us the balance of the line’s time, the God perfection, and how our decisions mark our existence and feelings. Every action changes the worl.

Each Small Being is individually hand-modeled with clay at a high temperature and then painted in bronze. It is then placed on a piece of solid wood, which has been painted light gray. This piece comes ready to hang. This work is made up of 3 pieces that hang on the wall separately.

Getting to Know Yelitza

Born in Venezuela, Yelitza Diaz’s life has been wrapped in the arts since childhood. She founded a gallery with her husband, who is also an artist, and was successful for many years until the crime and corruption in the local government became unbearable. They now live in South Carolina, where she makes art that explores human existentialism and the political and social developments of her native country. Her sculptures are made with ceramic techniques using a minimalist contemporary style. Fun fact: Yelitza designed the town seal for her native Municipio Falcón in Venezuela.
