Beautiful piece, but an artist doesn't "grow" with praise alone. The actual piece is too dark.Artistically, this results in LESS contrast, thus diminishing the overall effect. The single tone does not due full justice to the work. It is so "dark" that I plan to bring it outside one bright sunny day (or 2 or 3) and let the sunlight "tone it down." Hope this helps. You have captured an ocean on a dismal day. I love it. Keep up the great work.

Comments About This Piece

I took this on an absolutely gorgeous evening on the Courtney Campbell Causeway in Tampa, Florida. It is a two minute long exposure using B+W neutral density filters.

This location is probably one of my favorites and has yielded some awesome opportunities for photography. There are so many different looks and angles you can find given the right weather, time of day and perspective.

Open Edition

Certain pieces of artwork on UGallery, mostly photography and printmaking, are labeled as either limited edition or open edition. Pieces that are in a limited edition are produced in a set limited quantity. Open edition artworks are not limited in quantity and can be reproduced indefinitely. In both cases, each piece in the edition is identical and is considered an original. Limited edition works are generally more valuable because of the limited number available. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
