Part of a series of photographs depicting memories of one's childhood home and the emotions associated with it. The extreme focus is a result of using a free lensing technique. Free lensing is a method of shooting through a lens that is detached from the camera but still held close to the camera body. "It helps emulate an emotional quality of a memory," says Anna. "Stairs depict the constant coming and going, and how that parallels the ups and downs of growing up."

Anna Williams

Atlanta, Georgia

Anna Williams started photographing a few years ago when she got her first camera. She primarily finds inspiration in nature and light. In her point of view, rain and snow add more emotions to her shots. During her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She currently lives in Georgia. Fun fact: her work mostly consists of self portraits since she was always the "easiest model to find."
