"The difference between the surrealists and me is that I am not a surrealist. I am a Conceptual Realist and - as far as I am aware - the only one." Conceptual Realism with a twist in the tail - a ready-made, factory-fresh fish supper for the cyber age. This image took nearly twenty years to make! The picture of the can was taken on 4" x 5" transparency film in the UK in the early nineties and the rather sad-looking fish was photographed in Thailand in 2011. The two images were 'morphed' in 2011. 'Fish Can' reached the final of London's prestigious Saatchi Gallery's Surreal Showdown in July 2012. A 15" x 12" chromogenic print on Fuji's beautiful Crystal Archive Semi-Matt paper. The image area is 13" x 10" allowing for a 1" white border on all four sides of the image. This print is newly crafted and is in mint condition. The edition is limited to 250 individually signed and numbered prints and a Certificate of Print Authenticity is also included. This image is available in print sizes up to 30" x 20". Please contact the gallery for more details. Your print ships rolled in a sturdy 'crush-proof' PVC tube using EMS expedited mail with tracking. NOTE: This artist lives in Thailand and this artwork ships directly from his studio. Please allow up to three weeks for delivery.

Getting to Know Art

Much of the work that Art Grafts creates uses digital tools to blend seemingly disparate objects. In the process, he creates something new. When an idea pops into his head, he attempts to turn that idea into a photograph. In his newer work, he hopes to create pieces that are more light and colorful. He currently lives in Thailand.
