Yasmine Rafii carries her camera most places and shoots all of the time. Some images become raw material for compositing, some are simple documents, most are deleted and a very few move forward into final processing. Each of Yasmine's deceptively simple, contemplative compositions are the result of many hours of shooting and searching out the right location at the right time. She says of this scene, "The photo was taken at the end of a dark and rainy day wandering through the village of Nyon. Suddenly the sun burst through a break in the clouds lighting up the tower of the Chateau like a beacon in the night."
