During an autumn trip to Nantucket, I was out shooting a foggy sunrise at the harbor. The fog began to clear, so I headed up-island with the idea that the fog might still be lying low in an area of the island known as the Middle Moors. Sure enough, I found this ethereal light hitting the fog as it rose above the trees behind me, illuminating layers of fog and trees in the Moors. One of those scenes that a photograph doesn't do justice, but I gave it my best shot!
