The Pantages open in 1930, the Frolic room in 1934, before it was a speak easy. The Frolic Room was reputedly the last place the real Black Dahlia, Elizabeth Short, was seen alive. Both Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland also imbibed here. Howard Hughes owned the Pantages and the bar from 1949 to 1954. I used two studio strobes to illuminated the rain.
