This image was captured in Napoli in Italy (July 2010). This picture is literally the result of a point-and-shoot situation. These two girls came around the bend on their scooter, not even giving me time to think about light conditions nor image composition. I was really lucky to get both girls' eye contact, nearly posing for the camera within that second.
Pedro Cesar is a Portuguese street photographer currently living in Sweden. His work is based on the constant search for aesthetic moments in everyday life. When Pedro comes upon just the right subject–a moment he defines as “magic"-he quickly snaps the shutter to translate the scene into a photographic composition, frozen in time. The resulting images are a true reflection of human interaction. Pedro’s photography feels both honest and cinematographic, sparking our curiosities and imaginations.
