Adam Garelick
West Hartford, Connecticut
Adam Garelick enjoys taking photographs that challenge the viewers’ perceptions of certain subjects. His photographs of New York try to capture a much quieter city than the fast-paced metropolis most people picture. To capture his unique snapshots, he primarily shoots late at night and works in black-and-white photography. The photography of artists like Stephen Shore and Robert Adams continue to influence his work. When he’s not photographing, he tries to be outdoors as much as possible; he enjoys golfing, running and hiking. Even during these activities, he looks for new subjects to photograph. He currently lives in Connecticut.
