The idea that Eve is intoxicated with corrupting Adam. Notice how she is looking at his lips, but Adam is looking at her eyes, putting his trust in her. This is a self-portrait.
Sarah Clement’s artistic process is best described by a Thomas Merton’s quote, “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” She draws inspiration from history, mythology, literature, and religion. Sarah continually finds beauty in subtle and obscure places, and is happiest when she creates new worlds inspired by old worlds. Well-staged photography can transport you into a different universe. Sarah’s work feels like a real life version of living in a Pre-Raphaelite painting. Her portraits are magical, romantic, mysterious, and a little dangerous.
